Keisha N. Brown

President

Chair - Health & Wellness Practice

As president, Keisha has more than two decades of integrated marketing communications experience targeting African American communities and individuals, and utilizes her knowledge to focus on innovative client services to all of the agency’s clients.  A 30-year veteran of LAGRANT COMMUNICATIONS, Keisha understands the importance of servicing accounts with creative, results-oriented communications programs.

 

Keisha brings in-depth knowledge of managing and executing advertising, marketing and public relations accounts on a national and local basis for the African American consumer market. She manages a team of client-focused and results-driven individuals; creates a thriving environment of collaboration and creative problem-solving that is responsive to and inspired by new ideas; and oversees the firm’s creative and media planning and buying teams.

 

As the chair of the Health and Wellness Practice, Keisha has a keen understanding of health disparities and cultural nuances amongst African American communities and has worked with entities such as hospitals, healthcare plans, not-for-profit, government, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.  Her healthcare experience includes working with clients such as the Ad Council, American Cancer Society, California Department of Public Health, Covered California, Exact Sciences, Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital, Novartis, the Office of National Control Drug Policy, Regeneron and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, among others.  Keisha was responsible for leading the team that worked on the Ad Council and Office of Women’s Health Lupus Awareness public relations campaign targeting African American women and Latinas. In addition, she worked with the American Cancer Society for more than 25 years about the importance of screening for colon, prostate and breast cancers. 

 

She has also gained a tremendous amount of COVID-19 experience and insights leading advertising, public relations and marketing communications accounts for the California Department of Public Health, The Center at Sierra Health Foundation, United Way of Greater Los Angeles, and the California Labor & Workforce Development Agency.

 

The Los Angeles native holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in business administration from Howard University in Washington, DC.
