Covered California partnered with Laila Ali, world-class athlete, fitness and wellness advocate and Leo Santa Cruz, professional Mexican-American Boxer at the beginning of open enrollment to help raise awareness among Angelenos that part of living a healthy and active lifestyle is to have affordable, quality health coverage. 

 

To highlight the new California laws that lower health care costs for millions and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, Laila lead an interactive boxing-inspired cardio workout and Leo conducted brief boxing demonstration. Peter V. Lee, executive director for Covered California, discussed the importance of the health coverage changes new this year in California.
