As account director, Sherice manages the day-to-day activities for the Union Bank of California and the Foundation for Health Coverage Education accounts. She uses her established media relationships to strategically position the clients’ messages. Sherice conducts community relations and interacts with community leaders on a regular basis. In addition, Sherice assists in new business development and works on special projects that range from corporate to nonprofit and public affairs.
Prior to joining the firm, Sherice was a business consultant for SLB Associates, a company providing professional resources to small business owners. She conducted research and developed business and marketing plans. Sherice provided marketing and public relations services through print, broadcast and electronic media communications. In addition, she wrote business-related articles and media materials for local publications.
Sherice has extensive experience teaching business and entrepreneurship development. As an instructor at West Los Angeles College she teaches Business Communications and Small Business Entrepreneurship courses where she provides students with information on entering and competing in the world of globalization and the characteristics, roles and responsibilities of entrepreneurs and small business owners. Sherice also teaches in the entrepreneurial training program at Pacific Coast Regional Small Business Development Corporation. During the 8-week program, participants explore topics such as business basics; organization structure and design; business marketing and plan development; intellectual property; and managerial finance.
Sherice holds a bachelor’s degree in management from The Graziadio School of Business, Pepperdine University. She holds an MBA in International Business from the University of La Verne and an advanced certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the Canadian Institute of English.
Sherice is a member of the International Trademark Association and the Urban Financial Services Coalition. She served as vice chair and secretary for the Entrepreneurs Committee for the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development for the City of Los Angeles.
In her spare time, Sherice enjoys relaxing with a smooth cup of java and any book that encourages positive thinking, self-improvement and professional development.
