As senior counselor to the Hispanic Practice, Manuel assists with media relations and community relations for the firm's accounts such as Nissan North America, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Deloitte, Talbert Medical Group, and Macy*s, among others. In addition Manuel provides Spanish language capabilities and assists in new business development.
With over 20 years of experience and an extensive background in diverse fields such as journalism, broadcast media, public relations, community affairs and marketing, Manuel has dedicated his life to better understand the needs and behaviors of Latinos.
He was the former community affairs director of the Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation and the four most prominent radio stations in Los Angeles — KLVE, KSCA, KRCD and KTNQ. Manuel was a long-time host and producer of the talk show “Hablando en Serio ®.” He has also produced and written content for the website Netmio.com. Manuel has successfully worked on the sales team of two leading Latino radio stations — KTNQ and KRCD, the television station — Azteca América and the Los Angeles daily newspaper — La Opinión.
Before joining the LAGRANT team, Manuel worked as a consultant for companies and personalities such as, Rogers & Associates, COEMLA, former Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn and Santiago Pozo, among others. Two years ago, he became a published author writing his first book, “Cruda Realidad,” a compilation of twelve fictional short stories.
He earned his law degree from Universidad de Guadalajara and a master’s degree in electoral law from the Instituto Electoral de Mexico.
